Teen Ambassador

Teen Ambassador Program on Hold Until 2009 On March 3rd, the National 4-H Shooting Sports Committee met via conference call to discuss 4-H Shooting Sports programming that is currently taking place. Throughout the meeting, it was evident that many changes are taking place in the National 4-H Shooting Sports program, as leadership changes, as fiscal responsibilities are changing, and as the committee itself will be changing structure. Due to those many changes that are taking place, a decision was made to put the National 4-H Shooting Sports Teen Ambassador program on hold until 2009, to better assess the budget picture, the goals and the training and selection process. While it is recognized that this may be inconvenient to you if you were already interested and excited about this opportunity, it is a step that is important as the reorganization takes place. As the process is reviewed in 2008, we will be sure to keep you informed through this website of the changes for 2009, and how you can be included in that opportunity.

MISSION

Opening avenues to expand youth horizons through their voice, image, and vision.

VISION

To establish and expand a National 4-H Shooting Sports Teen Ambassador Program that is replicable at the Regional, State and County levels, affording teens the opportunities to demonstrate their skills in leadership, citizenship and community service through ambassador activities that promote and encourage the 4-H Shooting Sports Program.
